2005_2006 Executive Directors

Barb Aven, Brenda Delf, Ed McNeilly, Katrina Watts, Ken Tully, Derek Laurillard, Dave 8, 2006 Annual General Meeting held at the church. During this year an amended constitution was presented to the meeting. The constitution and by-laws took a long time during the meeting to approve but the community was patient. The amended 2006 Constitution and By-laws were approved. Bryan Baynham and Katrina Watts worked on this new version.

Presidents comments: During the year 2005_2006 the executive directors accomplished a number of community jobs.

Holiday Lane East

This project under the foremanship of Ed McNeilly completed the reservation of the road. Gravel, Sand, and Lime rock were installed with formation of a rise in the middle of the road to form a run off for the water. Dust suppressant was also spread along all the private roads to keep the dust down.

Trees on the Bluff in front of Delf's and Russell's

Dave McKenzie undertook this project and topped all trees that had been topped previously. The view is much better for the bluff people and a big thanks goes to Dave for the excellent job.

Bluff Erosion

This project is on going. 10 Gabions were purchased to be installed in front of the bluff on the east side of the stairs, to prevent more erosion of the bluff in future storms. A great big thank you go to all the community that helped put in rocks.

Bluff and Stair Maintenance

Many community members came out to help cut down the brambles on the front of the bluff and down the stairs to the beach.

Beach Stairs

A new set of bottom stairs were created by Ron Watts and installed to replace the previous set of stairs that were washed away by the Spring 2006 storm.

Signs

Ken Tully managed to installed a couple more Children Playing signs.

Gate on the edge of Reserve "A"

Ed McNeilly and Brian Brackman installed a gate closing off the access from the farm to Reserve "A". This maintains our privacy for non-members coming from other properties in the area.
